Phone: 320-808-4955 Meagan Christenson graduated from the University of Mary in 2000 after which she obtained her board certification as an athletic trainer (A.T.C.). She provided athletic training services for football and the track and field teams performing injury evaluation, rehabilitation, prevention, and emergent field care. Meagan’s expertise reaches far beyond her sports medicine |
outreach duties at West Central Area High School. She also serves as an Athletic Enhancement coordinator. Athletic Enhancement is a summer conditioning program focused on teaching school aged kids proper jumping and landing technique while improving physical performance. She played a vital role in the creation of this program in 2001. Meagan instructs athletes in the areas of flexibility, plyometrics, speed/agility, and strength training. Athletes are also introduced to the fundamentals of nutrition, attitude, teamwork, visualization and goal setting. Meagan’s aim is to provide a sports training program that is challenging physically and mentally. Meagan is always happy to visit about this program. Meagan uses her expertise on the Wendell Fire & Rescue Department as a First Responder. She has had the opportunity to serve area residents since 2004. Meagan’s certifications include: Certified Athletic Trainer, Emergency Medical Technician, and American Red Cross Professional Rescuer. |
