Chris Siegel graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2002 from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training and a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Exercise Science. As a student Athletic Trainer in the athletic department, he supervised primary care of over 150 Division II athletes by performing injury evaluation, rehabilitation, prevention, and emergent field care. He continued his education at North Dakota State University earning a Master’s degree in Exercise Science while doing a graduate assistantship at M-State Fergus Falls. |
In 2002, Chris joined our staff and provides athletic training services for M-State Fergus Falls, Wheaton Area High School, Hancock High School, Chokio-Alberta High School, and acts as an Athletic Enhancement and SWEAT coordinator. He works directly with the athletes providing pre-practice/game preparation, evaluating injuries, referring to area physicians, and communicating with coaches. Chris has been certified by Sports Medicine Concepts in rapid removal and response techniques for face-mask and helmet removal and emergency response. As a SWEAT and Athletic Enhancement coordinator, he provides area athletes with opportunities to improve their athleticism by concentrating speed improvement, strength, endurance, agility, and overall athletic performance. These programs have been used by athletes ranging from junior high to college aged. Chris has been certified by Cincinnati Sportsmedicine and Orthopedic Center as a Certified Injury Prevention Trainer with the Sportsmetrics Program. The Sportsmetrics Program is the first ACL injury prevention program scientifically proven to decrease serious knee ligament injuries. Chris also has hundreds of hours of continuing education in the development of injury prevention programs and athlete enhancement programs. Chris had an abstract titled “Effectiveness of a Summer Training Program on Chris’ certifications include: Certified Athletic Trainer, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, American Heart Association BLS instructor, American Red When not working, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife Bobbi, and three children Karli, Madelyn, and Connor. He also enjoys camping, fishing, riding motorcycle, and woodworking. |
